    Hello,

i didn't know exactly where to post this thread.
The thing is, I have an Acer travelmate 2350, and I would like to know what i have to do to see a movie( for example) on my tv.

I bought a connector, called 'Converts VGA / SVGA to S-Video / RCA signal ' but i am not able to make it work, i don't know if i have to select something in my computer, like an external screen, or something like that. I have the option, in E management, which i choose to use the option of BOTH SCREENS (LAPTOP AND TV) but i don't really know what should i do.
The connector has the round cable and the yellow one. but i am confused on how to put them.... I have to say that my laptop doesn't have the round connector and this adaptor has a round connector in one side and at the other side has like a 'printer' one with the 15 'holes' ( as you can see i can't name them properly, sorry).
Check the connector i bought in this addres:

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...60017766205&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1

Please, if someone can understand what i am trying to ask, help me... because i have no idea how to watch the picture on the tv.

    Thank you so much,

    Naraloca

The 15 pin connector should go into your computer and the other two (one or the other) should go to your TV. You will need an S-Video cable to connect your TV to the round black connector (if your TV has an S-Vdeo input) otherwise you will need an RCA cable to connect the yellow connector to the TV.
    I hope this helps

Hold on...That cable converts signal from your VGA out to S-Video female, which means you will need a S-Video male to male cable in order to connect that to the S-Video female port on your TV. You shouldn't be able to connect them anywhere on the TV at all without the S-Video cable.

That's what I said. I guess I should have clarified that by S-Video cable, I meant male to male--it's just the standard and most common S-Video cable is male to male.

Hmmmm... See if there is a TV/Video button either on the TV, but most likely on the remote control for the TV.

Are you going below Channel 2? Some TV's now you need to go even past Channel 01, and then the "VIDEO" channel pops up (just the blue screen).

Any other things connected to the TV like a digital cable/satellite box or VCR/DVD?

ok, I have no idea... first I tell what i have done. I puggled the 4 pin cable from that adaptor that i cought, on to the tv (with an extension, coz it's too small)... i have a yello w cord too, i plugged it as well, i tried a lot of them on the tv, as i have 3

For SVTWANNABE, I have cable tv, dvd recorder and video connected, i have to look what's on what. I think everything goes trough the video. (the cable tv and dvd recorder.

    Thanks guys really apreciated!

What is the extension? Because you can't plug the black 4 pin one (S-Video female) into the S-Video female socket in the TV.
