help with ram upgrade!!!

right now i have 512mb(2x256) but am upgrading to 2gb. the problem im having is that i cant find my second slot. ive read a few threads but am not having any luck.

i have a hp zt3340us.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may be under the keyboard instead of the under the laptop.
It also could be that 512MB is built into your motherboard or something

 

ive looked on hp's site and it says i have 2 slot and it's upgradable to 2gb.

if it was under my keyboard, how would i access it?

 

Is it possible you only see 1 stick because you have 1x512MB stick?

 

i took out the one that i found and its a 256mb.

i looked at my properties i have 512 and i even did a scan at crucial.com to make sure and it's saying i have 2x256.

i guess i might have to contact hp

 

I will look more. Can you start your PC with the 256MB stick removed?

 

i just got an email back from hp and apparently the 2nd slot is under my keyboard.

very inconvenient. now i have to figure out how to get to it....

That's okay. I still don't know how to cut, copy or paste. I haven't been able to use those image hosting sites that I so badly want to use. People have tried to give me directions, but I just can't comprehend. Someone needs to show me in person. Sometimes I'm just a blonde.
