    ordered with 1600x900 resolution but for my type of work this resolution isn't enough. This is the highest resolution offered, can I order a t440s screen and put it in?

    If it uses LVDS, you should be able to go up to 1920x1080. Not sure for eDP, but your laptop's old enough it's probably not eDP.

    I think the T440s uses 2 channel eDP, in which case you need to be sure you have 2 channel eDP.
