I recently purchased a vaio FZ 290 with XBRITE-HiColor (1280x800). Is this considered an HD display? I mean would it be capable of displaying di def programs or those Planet Earth DVDs in its high def format like you see on an HDTV?
    Thanks,
    Amir

Yes it will display 720 HD it will not display 1080 HD. HD usually means 720 and higher you have 800.

yeah HD refers to resolutions of 720 vertical pixels or more. if you have more than that, the yes, it is considered to be HD.
