Is there anyway i can transfer data from one laptop to another wirelessly? Im talking about a 1gb file, so the internet won't do. I have a wireless router...is this possible? If not, what cable can i use to connect them?

You can just enable file sharing on both computers and drag the files from one to the other

I don't remember where the option for file sharing is, but getting them on the same LAN network should be as simple as plugging both machines into the same ethernet switch or connecting them to the same access point.
