I'm trying to enable a bluetooth dongle but I just can't seem to get it to work.
So I download and install:
Bluetooth Enhanced Data Rate software? (thinkpad bluetooth drivers)
&
bluesoleil software for the mini bluesoleil dongle
But it does not recognize the dongle, as if it's disabled or not even plugged in.
What am I missing? Is there anything I have to enable elsewhere on the laptop?

I have the Bluesoleil mini-usb dongle.
On my last laptop (Lenovo T61), it used to turn dark red once you plug it in and you could look for other devices. On my current laptop I get nothing it stays black (off). -
anyone? 10 char

Does it even appear in the device manager?

no, I think it's showing up as an unknown device, not sure, but I don't see bluetooth.
I think I did a bad install of windows xp on this system, some of the device manager, usb and intel drivers get errors when I try to update...
I will try the vista dvd () and lenovo drivers cd that came with the system.
how do you enable a bluetooth dongle?
