    hello guys,

My former MSI notebook GT628's CPU could be overclocked to 3.33GHz (304x11) , using SETFSB & Throttlestop

    I got a M17X R1 in a low price recently

    Now I am using 3.33GHZ quad core ,too (just 266.6 x 12.5,no faster than 304 x 11)

anyone know how to alter the FSB of the M17X R1 ? (the PLL type)
or any other software like setfsb or setpll to alter the FSB ?

I saw someone had overclocked the quad core to 4.17GHz (333.3 x 13.5)

I am not sure if he still hangs around NBR but scook9 used to push the outer limits with his M17X-R1 QX9300. That screen shot might be his.

For maximum performance he discovered that raising the FSB gave him more performance per MHz than raising the multiplier did.
