Hi, I have an ABS Z4, and it's making a huuuuuuuuge noise..
I turn my computer on when the machine is physically cold. After ten minutes of turning it on, without doing ANYTHING, the fans are running full speed, the machine is hot. The CPU is at 0%..

I played with the ATI tool to underclock my video card, but that does not help either...
    Are there any other methods?

Is this just the error of the computer?
    thanks.

How old is your laptop and how often do you clean out the fan?
Have a look at this guide.

    Use a hammer ;)

Seriously though, I agree with Thibault. Clean your machine. It sounds like the heatsink is clogged with dust or hair or something. If you have a long-haired dog or cat, that is quite probably the issue.

It could be that the processor is getting to hot, and the fan is trying to cool it, but there is dust in the vents thats preventing it from. It coulod also be that the fan has become defective, and the beaings are not functioning properly, in which case you may need to purchase a new fan and install it yourself, if your notebook has no warranty.

Yup, could be a bad fan, see if you can get a replacement. Also, consider investing into a cooling pad if you don't have one to bring the temperatures down.
