    how would a SU2700 compare to a T5500?

    It's 1.3GHz vs. 1.6Ghz but the slower one is newer. WIll it at be slower, faster, or lateral move at best coming from a notebook with the older 1.6GHz processor assuming everything else was the same (which it's not of course)? Or are those U.L.V.'s usually for the net-book style? This is a lenovo 13.3" I'm looking at, coming from a more traditional thinkpad.

    t5500 will definitely be faster since it has two cores, su2700 fly solo.

    T5500 is roughly twice as fast.

    I wouldn't recommend buying a SU2700 laptop in 2009 because heavy flash like Youtube HD can make it stutter.

    the T5500 would be faster.. but i would choose the SU2700 anyday..
    the reason why is anylaptop with the SU2700 will be really thin... <1 inch.. will have a higher FSB and will be newer with much better battery life...
    plus.. hell... ITS NEW!!!
