    Hi All

Iam new to this site. i am after some help from you guys here as i have tried everything that i can think of but with no result

I bought a hp dv6505au laptop, and like most people can not stand vista so have put xp back on it but have heaps of problems with drivers.
First of all i would like to say that when i bought it i did ask the salesman could i run xp on it and he said sure. well i guess her was right in one way but did leave out the fact that i might not be able to get drivers for it.

I have tried hp windows and some other drivers that people have surguested but still no go for graphic and one unknown.

The thing that gives me the S+++ts the most is that hp tells me if i change my op system it will void warranty and with that also said they could not help me.

But most af all is why does hp not advertise that they do not support xp and that they will offer no help if you do decide to change op system. As i am the owner of this laptop i should be intital to run what ever op system i want.

so now all thats over with, is there any one out there that can help

    cheers

    bob

For the graphics try these drivers...

The native inf should support the 7150M and so shouldnt need any modifications. If it doesnt install then get the modded inf and replace it with the original. As for as the Unknown device is concerned I would presume it to be the HP Quicklaunch buttons driver/software. This can be downloaded from HP's website for XP or the Vista version might be XP compatible as well.

Depending the hardware you should be able to acquire most of the drivers from the respective manufacturers site. Nvidia should also have the chipset drivers online. What hardware are you missing the drivers for?
