Hi there,
First of all I'm new to this forum, So id like to apologise for my incompetence.
If this is in the wrong section I apologise again.
I enjoy playing WOW and have a suitable rig at home for doing so. However, as I spend most my time travelling for work I don't get to play it.
I decided I would save up and buy a laptop for playing WOW and watching movies etc when I'm away. (Playing games on my works laptop is a no go).
Last week I got a HP Pavilion 15 P007na for free. It comes with Intel HD4400 and Wow Wod seems to be pushing it to its limits.
I have £250 put away for buying a laptop. But I have come up with a few ideas but not sure what route to go down.
1. Egpu as I have several graphics cards laying around. However I am not sure how or if I can still use my laptop screen with this set up. I wouldn't mind carrying an egpu set up around but an extra monitor it a bit over the top. (Would require removing the wifi card and using an external wifi set up to)
2. Change the mobo for one with a dedicated GPU. I don't know what mobo I have or where to start with this really. (My favourite idea)
3. Keep saving up for a more capable laptop. (Not very creative)
Any advice or tips on which solution I should go with and how to do so would be great. Any other ideas are welcome too.
Thanks Scott

Is this the one you got for free?

I would be surprised if you could do anything to make gaming better on it. Low(ish) end CPU, entry level GPU - great for business use, not for gaming.
I'll be the boring one and say:
3) Keep saving.
Can you sell the free notebook? Sell it now to get the best price.
I would guess that $1000 or higher is needed to get a notebook to play WoW properly on. -
Might go with that, I would like a custom 3xs laptop -
You'll need £1100 ish to get a Clevo 15" with a 970M.. So sell this and save up.. Nothing else you can do..
