Hi there, the power connector on my hp pavilion dv6330 is on it's way out. I took the laptop apart yesterday and noticed that the connector has a seperate board which also has a usb port on there. I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could purchase the seperate board or is my only option soldering on a new connector? Thanks.
Regards, Dave.

Is the connector itself broken, or has it just snapped off the circuit board? If it's broken, you could try searching for just the connector or the entire board on eBay. If it snapped off, chances are that you can simply solder it back on yourself at little or no expense.

Is this the part you are looking for:

or is it just the power jack:

If its just the power jack (the second item) you can probably get it much cheaper on another site.

Thanks again for the reply's. -
if you need the part, you can buy it from this website:
http://powerjack.us/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8939&zenid=ceafc05ba9e3cac6f3832b508c1b8c7c
You can also try buying the whole board:

I do not know if these are reputable sites, its best to run a reseller ratings search before buying from them.
Your best bet is probably ebay. Just search "dv6330 power jack" and you will fins results

http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-DV6000-USB-a...ryZ31534QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem is a tad bit cheaper. Also does your laptop have a intergrated or dedicated graphics card? Dedicated graphics card laptops use 90 watt chargers and require a diffrent daughter board that has an extra cable on it and it will not accept 65watt chargers.
