    hp pavilion broken power connector

    Hi there, the power connector on my hp pavilion dv6330 is on it's way out. I took the laptop apart yesterday and noticed that the connector has a seperate board which also has a usb port on there. I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could purchase the seperate board or is my only option soldering on a new connector? Thanks.

    Is the connector itself broken, or has it just snapped off the circuit board? If it's broken, you could try searching for just the connector or the entire board on eBay. If it snapped off, chances are that you can simply solder it back on yourself at little or no expense.

    Yeah, the connector's not working properly. It's still soldered on. Is it worth having a go at soldering a new one on? I was looking for the board as an easy way out. Thanks for the link's k-tron, that's the board i was looking for but i dont believe they post to the united kingdom!?
