    hp pavilion dv4 1120us laptop has 250gb hard disk; i would like to upgrade hard disk to 500gb +

    hp doesn't support the hard disk upgrade
    could you please let me know the suitable hard disk for the above model
    Is there any one who tried hard disk upgrade on the above model ?
    will there be any technical issues after upgrading the hard disk ?
    please let us know

    you can actually upgrade to any hard disk,that supports the slot in your laptop(like sata 2,etc.)

    also you need to be sure that it can fit in.If your laptop only supports 2.5 inch hard disks,you cant run a 3.5 inch hard disk properly on your laptop.

    If you have the slot and room for it,no problem.

    Any 500GB 2.5" SATA I or SATA II hard drive should be okay. Anything, at this moment, that is higher capacity 2.5" hard drive is actually going to be too thick to fit in your notebook.

    You can basically use any 2.5 inch 500GB SATA drive and currently the fastest one is 500GB Hitachi 7K500... Its quite easy to swap the hard drive in Hp computers... just remove the protectsmart pannel and pull the old hard drive out and put the new one in the caddy...
