I've not heard of them before, but every company has to start somewhere.

However, they don't seem to offer the OCZ core SSD, which is one of the best of the current products.

One test is to phone them up with some fairly technical question and see if you get a sensible answer.

They look to me to be a small company taking advantage of a small, but growing, market. I was just looking at span.com who have been HDD specialists for many years (everything except Samsung, for some unknown reason) but they are slow in moving into SSDs.

Just placed an order with them in the beginning of the month. Paypaled straight away. After a couple of days emailed about an update on the progress of the order and was replied that they are trying to get stock confirmation for me. Next day I was emailed that the product is unavailable. Asked for a refund but it is hanging now in my paypal account with the 'pending' status. Phoned paypal UK and they told the seller issued a refund from their bank account not paypal balance and it normally takes 4-5 working days to clear. So now I am three days after the order's been placed with no drive and with no instant money available on my account. You do the judgement.

PS: wanted to let you guys know before that. check the stock availability with them before placing an order!!

PPS: was offered an alternative SSD makes which are 'a week away to source'. Not sure I will ever use them again.

11 days since placed & paid an order via website -- STILL NO REFUND ON MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT!

AVOID THIS SELLER AT ALL COST.

Paypal is a bit thrifty when it comes to refund, I heard it isn't a very reliable online purchasing service.. You could go file a complaint on the nearest Paypal station about your case, to be more technical and personal about the issue.

If you check the bottom of the site, ther is a company registration number and a VAT registration number - that should allow you to check whether the company is legitimately registered.

And Paypal - I might as well trust the person next to me on the street with some money...
At least I would never use the.

    Guys,

thanks for the feedback but the problem is not [only] paypal. The refund was issued three days after seller moved funds off paypal to their personal bank account. As a result I have to wait of up to 11 working days for the money to clear! Needless to say that this is very annoying experience with yet unknown outcome.

I am not here to defend paypal as I myself had issues with them blocking my seller account for no apparent reason but all established sellers and this includes myself normally refund within minutes-hours not days!

Again it is not to badmouth futurestorage.co.uk but to warn decent buyers out there of what could become a transaction with bad taste in the mouth. Nowadays there are lots of trendy webstore with no substantial background or financial capability to buy & stock but rather advertise part numbers in a desperate hope to catch someone's order and 'source' for them on their money. Thank you but no, thank you.
