I am unaware of this computer brand the processor is an intel duo core t5450 @ 1.67. My question is it worth upgrading for another gig of ram? It currently has one gig of ram. If so what kind of ram links appreciated.

Depends on if you need more. For the price of ram these days, I would go to 2GB of DDR2 PC2-5300/5400 memory.
-
I wouldn't mind buying another stick. I just wanna know if its worth it since usually a processor goes with the ram. Also i don't know what type of ram this notebook would use xD thats why but you said PC2-5300/5400 memory would be the ram for this notebook?
-
Knowing your OS would help me to answer better but with RAM prices what they are sure can't really go wrong. It is good you have that RAM as 1SODIMM as it will save you money. I assume you have PC5300, download and run CPU-Z it is free, to confirm. If it is not say it is PC4200 then you can buy either as you would be stuck running at PC4200 speeds. Here is a link to NewEgg RAM. Any of them should be fine. Also check out RAM Deals on this site. Make sure whatever you get is a 200pin SODIMM.

ahh thanks first of all i forgot to mention my operating system unfortunately i got windows vista home premium. On cpu z it says
- DDR 2
-PC-5300 (333mhz)
Would that be good or more info to find my ram type. Also i wanted to ask does this ram work should i buy it since i saw it in sale.

No it is the wrong size. And you might want to consider a 2GB stick. Not really required but many say 3GB total does make a difference. And just a heads up if you wonder, that 333Mhz, well Double Data Rate makes that 667Mhz.

ahh. So the one on neweggs would fit the notebook i have:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313040 I am aiming at the moment one gig only since its just gonna be for regular use homework/chatting/surfing the net. -
Yea it will work, but why did you pick it? It is PC6400/800Mhz that no Intel notebook supports, it will clock down to 667Mhz. Why not save $4 and get PC5300/677Mhz ?
-
Which ram can you give me the link again
-
It is still there in post #4. Just think why not save $4.
-
hmm i did click it, but it sent me to a lot of types of ram. I though you meant this one from newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820313040
where you save 4 dollars. -
I did see the ram of notebook but its to expensive can i get one of 20 dollars shiped of 1 gig. I saw one in newegg one gig at that price, but i wasnt sure if it was that one. Any link appreciated
-
gpister, I reread your link, at first I did not see $5 rebate makes it $15.99 it was a good find the PC6400 should work fine will just downclock so if cheapest go for it.
-
So than its a good sale. Also it will fit the notebook good? I just wanna be sure since i really don't know much about ram.
-
any ram that is ddr2 200-pin will work for you notebook.

Would all those 3 work with the notebook? Would you recommend me an specific one for the notebook. Thank you once again for the feedback and help i really appreciated. -
Why dont you purchase new memory cards, since they are only a few dollars more.
You do not want to buy memory for mac computers, the interface is different, and will most likely cause stability issues with your laptop.
