    Hi.
    Just bought asus k43sv (i5 2410 and nvidia gt540).
According to intel this sandy bridge should have Intel® HD Graphics (3000 i think).
I noticed there was no sticker about optimus techonology.
Also in the device manager only shows gt540.
Programs like aida, siw also report the same.
On asus website there is only drivers for gt540; no drivers for intel.
There isn't much information about this laptop, yet, but googling just found a guy (whith the i7 version) asking the same.
    Shouldn't there be a Intel® HD Graphics 3000?

I don't see that Optimus is supported on ASUS K43SV, so Intel GPU wouldn't be on.

I would think that a good read of the owners manual would be a tad more informative than glancing at a sticker on the box......

yea, Intel manufacturer's their Sandy Bridge chips these days with the CPU and GPU on the same die (so it would entirely literally be impossible for a OEM manufacturer to not have the chip of Intel 3000 gfx built in... but the OEM can choose to, or not to wire the motherboard to support the GPU section of the processor so that it is working with the rest of the system... if they choose not to, well there is nothing you can do about it as it is essentially there but not in any way usable... oh and their bios is in all likely hood whitelisting)

your only graphics chop you can use on your system is the GT540
