I've read that the i5 cpus only support dual channel memory, but does that mean the will only support 2 sticks of ram or will they support 4?

The 2520 will support 16gb dual channel according to intel, could I use 2x4gb and 2x2gb without issue?

Has anyone tried more than 2 sticks on an i5? I haven't seen anything confirming/denying it...

While I had a 2410M, I had 2x8GB sticks installed without issue; when I tried to install 2 more 4GB sticks alongside the 8GB ones, my laptop would not boot.

Dual core SB support 2 RAM sticks only. Whether it is an arbitrary limit is unknown. Manufacturers do not allow more than 2 sticks to be ordered - HP.
