Hey folks! I know the i7 3630QM can't be overclocked past 3.2 GHZ on all four cores but will I be able to reduce the multiplier to a medium or low level so that I only reach 1200GHZ, 1000GHZ, or 800 MHZ under load on all four cores to reduce heat and fan noise? Also am I correct in saying that I would be able to use Throttlestop to lock the turbo boost at 3.2 GHZ on all four cores regardless of load when I need that extra power? Is there a way to lock it at 3.4 GHZ on all four cores using Throttlestop? I am going to purchase an HP Elitebook 8570w with DreamColor 2 Panel and it has the i7 3630QM processor. I will be doing HD video and photo editing. I also use a NC Zalmann Cooling Pad. Any insight and help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Yes these are possible.

No this is not possible. 3.2 GHz is the maximum on four cores.
