    i7 slowdown

    So, I was looking at the new Sony F series. But I found a thread about the performance hit when on battery. It seems to be pretty significant and BIOS set. My understanding is that the manufacturers lockdown the multiplier when on battery.

    From my reading, this seems to be the quad core i7s. Dual core i7s and other i-series (i5s for example) are not mentioned.
