Hi i have y570 laptop and the cpu when playing crysis 3 on low maxs at 94c and stay around 90c after 10 mins
Ive repasted and it brought it down from 99c and ive cleaned heatsink.
The gpu also repasted tops at 84c
I have turbo boost on because i needed everybit of cpu for crysis 3.
I also dont have cooling pad and play on fold out table
My tj max is 100c but it gets close so quick
1.will disabling hyperthreading bring it down and turbo boost even tho i like to keep on cause it gives me 2.9ghzd
    my specs
    I7-2630qm
    Gt555m
    8gb ram
    750gb hd
    64gb satau

What is the ambient room temps?

Can you lift the notebook off the table (using erasers even) one or two inches?

You can try to do a better job repasting the heatsinks (and/or use a better TIM), but it seems like you've reached the limits of your chasiss and cooling design for the cpu/gpu combo you want running at max...

No surprise here. A mainstream 15 laptop with that config can't provide very effective cooling.
You can disable turbo. It might help a little.
Laptop won't run into CPU bottleneck even with turbo off as it is just feeding the medicore GT555M :)
