    i7-720QM problem

    I just brought Asus N61JQ.
    At first when i use the laptop, processor gadget was working. The Ghz changes. But after that i think i did something wrong? maybe uninstall something & caused it to stay at 1.6 ghz regardless of what i do. game . idle . etc. Can someone help me? i try not to reformat.

    This could be the throttle problem with 720QM.

    It would be the contrary in fact, the laptop is not throttled but at full speed all the time. Have you tweaked your CPU at all?

    Flash your BIOS, and update every driver.

    Or, just change your power option plan from Performance to Balanced?
