These are temps under normal load. Normal? I thought the i7 temps would be close to that of the C2Ds, my old T9800 was around 37-40 degrees C under normal load.

I get about 10 lower unless I'm gaming. But my rig probably has better cooling than yours.

    So, normal.

Use CPUGenie... problem is that it is a 30 day trial and u have to buy it... when u use it , set the voltage urself don't use the built in feature... it is more easier for u to do so urself...

Yeah, you could try CPUGenie, but another person who used had their computer crash on them after setting the voltage, so it's not guaranteed to work.

Yep,BSOD,memory dump and reboot is what I got running their voltage test.

I thought maybe it was because it was running the test for 1.6ghz and Turbo was still jumping it up to 2.8ghz.I So I disabled Turbo and ran it again same thing.
    Just doesnt support i7.

Ohh I see ok thanks :) Seems we'll have to have the stock voltages for now. The idle temps for i7 are higher than some Core2D's load temps...

Mine is running in that range too. I asked around and i7s apparently run hot. Right now, under light load (just this browser) my cores are right around 53C. You're on a Dell right? I'm on a HP.

I get some useful information here. May I ask the normal temperatures you get while running i7 under 'min load', 'average load' and 'max load'? What is your room temperature?
