    hello

my Intel T2050 1.6 GHz experiences so much struggle with heat, without me knowing why so, does the hardware gets 'old' ? or the WinXP gets loaded with bloatware?

either way, while considering among many ways to cool it, I encountered this:
why is it "inactive"? do I need to activate it? and how do I activate it?

    thanks

As long as SuperLFM is activated, it will throttle the FSB. Dont mess with those settings unless you want ur CPU always at 50% throttle. I had this problem with the comp in my sig as well, I found a solution that throttled and worked wonders called CPUGenie. look it up. Be sure to do that obvious as well such as cleaning out the dust from your heatsink. I swear......if I make another post about CPUGenie....I am going to demand them to pay me for advertising.

What kind of temperatures are you getting?

Either way, the first thing I would try would be cleaning out the insides of the computer with compressed air since dust could have accumulated on the fans, vents, and heatsinks rendering them less effective.

Run cpu-z and see if the cpu frequency changes. Also watch the multiplier.
