I hope this belongs in this section...
In summer it gets really hot down here... right now we have 35 °C room temp...
so I made two expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) bricks of 5 cm (2 inches) high, and place them on the back of my laptop to raise the back and make it cooler.
Is it ok to use the laptop with that kind of incline? is it harmful for HDD or other parts?

That's good and fine. I use thick school books in a pinch when traveling, plastic stand in my home office, and a lot of companies sell fancy overpriced non-fan bases for upwards of $30, but simply elevating the laptop at an incline with a solid non-slip object does just as well. It also has the added benefit of a better typing position and raising the display to a more convenient height.

The incline will not cause any problems with your system. The incline is actually beneficial. The amount of air circulation increases greatly when the system is propped up, so you should notice lower running temperatures.
You may want to also check out the undervolting guide.
You can shave a few degrees off of the processor temperature by doing this.
Its fairly simple, safe and does not reduce system performance at all.

Nope, that's perfectly fine. Some laptops used to come with fold out stands actually.
