    Hello,

    I have upgraded my Dell Inspiron 6000 from a 64 to a 128 video card I bought from ebay. (ATI X300 128 MB - W5320)

Unfortunately I get a black screen even though my laptop seems to start up fine (by hearing to the welcome sound of Windows).

I was wondering if I had to install a specific driver for the 128? or need I upgrade the Bios (I currently have the A09 revision) ?

Can anyone help me get through this?

    Thanks!

A09 is the last BIOS revision for the Inspiron 6000. It should support the bigger X300. Are you able to see the BIOS with the new card, or is it black there as well? Are you absolutely certain that the card you bought is working?
