    installing RAM on the VAIO VGN-N250E

    I want to put another Gig of ram in my vaio VGN N250E. How do i go about that? And is there a 1 G stick in my computer right now or is there two 512 sticks?

    I believe there is 2 siticks of 512MB. I will check and wil be right back.

    Yep I just checked on the newer models and they all have 3 sticks of 512Mb. Cheaper for them to do that. So I think that you should buy, 2 sticks of 1 GB. The maks is 2GB.

    sorry for bumping up old thread.
    but will PC2-5400 667 Mhz work ? I am getting Corsair VS1GBSDS667D2 at pretty good rate. I am goin to install 1 GB x 2 stick.

    When I open the RAM slot.You can see in the pic that even OEM HYNIX is PC2-5300. where as in manual it says PC2-4200.

    2x1GB PC2-5300/5400 will work.
    (Do not bump/post in old threads, open a new thread, and add a reference for the old one for convenience)
