I just bought a new hp dm1-4108 from jb hi fi today and also baught an intel 330 60 gb ssd. i put it all together. was actually really easy to do. when i went to install windows off a silicon power usb drive it said "no bootable device — insert boot disk and press any key" so to get around it it plugged the ssd in to my desktop and installed windows on to it that way. then i put the ssd back in the laptop. the ssd has windows 100% bootable and tested on my desktop but when i go to boot off it from the laptop it has the same "no bootable device — insert boot disk and press any key" am i missing something? ps sorry for my poor spelling and gramma.

seems like another sandforce "Bios not detected the drive issue"

you could try to secure erase it, and see if it makes any difference..

try to install in IDE. it seems that all new HP have problems with SF drives. I think the best solution is returning the SSD. Buy Samsung 830 or m4 64gb.
