    intel U1400 and light 2d cad work

    I have recenty deciced a ultra protable may be better for me right know because i need to bring it back an forth to school. the only things i would do on it would be word, excel, some powerpoint and light 2d cad such as autocad would this be to much for the processor, i dont want it to be sluggish the notebook i was looking at was the gateway nx100x

    What machine do you use now to perform those tasks? I do not think the U1400 will have a problem with any of those apps.

    right now i have an old hp ze5170 with a 2.0 pentium 4 and 512mb of ddr226 ram, and 4200 prm hd

    The Core Solo U1400 will handle those tasks just fine if you run them on that machine. I would suggest getting 1GB of RAM for best results.
