i have a customer that brought one in to me and said he got it from some one off craig's list and they told him it was a x9100 or the same thing. anyone seen or heard about these there is next to no info anywhere about them? he also bought a e4135 as well which they told him was the same as the p9600?

just curious. i do see them listed on intel's web site but why are they no where to be found other than that? it says e4345 right on the chip.

Where are these listed on Intel's website? Do you have a link? A picture of said chip(s)?

    I see:

    E 8435 2 3.06 GHz 1066 MHz 6 MB 45nm
    E 8335 2 2.93 GHz 1066 MHz 6 MB 45nm
    E 8235 2 2.60 GHz 1066 MHz 6 MB 45nm
    E 8135 2 2.66 GHz 1066 MHz 6 MB 45nm

I believe these are special chips made for Apple (kind of like the SFF C2D in the original MBA), but they should be next to identical to their standard C2D counterparts.

Yeah, I'm guessing that's why it's in an iMac and not a mobile device. Probably not a good idea to put one in a laptop?

I would assume fitting it in a Mac Mini would also void Apple's warranty. 55W TDP in a Dell should be fun. :D
