Hi, I need some sage advice on how to connect a Agere Dephi D40 internal modem card. When I disconnected it from my Toshiba Satellite P205-6337 the little black connector from the motherboard cable fell off and it's so small I can't figure out how it goes back together.

Im gussing its a ZIF connecter. Now dont ask me what it stands for because i dont know. Anyways there should be 2 peices the actual connecter and a little peice that can move around. You pull that little peice in the front out a litle bit well as far as it goes with out being stupid and pulling to hard. You put the cable in as far as it fits and push the other peice back in and its wedged in the middle. If its not a ZIF i have no idea. By the way why do you need a modem just throw it in the trash its useless anyways.

Try looking into the manual, or searching images of your current motherboard and modem card sometimes most of the time you can find a picture of the card being connected to the motherboard, hopefully it gives you an idea on how to connect it.
