    invalid partition table - ACER Travelmate

    I hade to disamble my laptop because of a loose heatsink.
    Now i get the message invalid partition table as soon as i press the power button.
    There is also a single beep witch repeats after several seconds.
    The message "invalid partition magic" apears before im able to access Bios.

    Is there any hope?

    Remove and reinstall the HDD. It may not have gotten 100% where it needed to go. Let us know whether that cures your ills, and we can go from there.

    Could be bad ram modules here or bad ram sockets. I suggest that you swap the ram modules around and try again. Or maybe just try reseating them.
