    same question goes for RAM , a DDR2 to DDR3 (i have less of a hope for that one)

    Yes on the hard drive, and no on the RAM. DDR2 is 200 pins, DDR3 is 204 pins. DDR3 will not fit in a DDR2 slot, and vice versa.

    yes on hard drive and no on RAM unless u get a new motherboard... or laptop depending on whether your laptop manufacturer sold the same motherboard model...
