    I was wondering if I got the gateway laptop at best buy for 1000 and down the road could i put a i7 in it. Thanx

    If and only if it currently has an i7 in it, you can upgrade it to another i7 down the road.

    Just like the desktops notebooks also have cpu sockets.
    If the cpu your thinking of upgrading matches the socked of the new cpu theres a good chance it will work.
    But you never know what will happen. :(
