    Hi folks,

what is better for a Notebook with a C2D with 1066 MHz: DDR2 or DDR3?

I'm no expert at all, but my gut feeling tells me, that the ddr2 thwarts the cpu.

    Is that true?

    cheers,

    Micha

One advantage of DDR3 is less battery power needed... cheaper electric bill?

The CPU will not be bottlenecked by DDR2 though... nope.

In real life, you won't notice a difference in power consumption using DDR3 over DDR2.
