Hi folks,
what is better for a Notebook with a C2D with 1066 MHz: DDR2 or DDR3?
I'm no expert at all, but my gut feeling tells me, that the ddr2 thwarts the cpu.
Is that true?
cheers,
Micha

At the moment there is supposed to be very little difference between DDR2 and DDR3 as the higher latency of DDR3 cancels out it`s speed gains, plus DDR2 is cheaper at the moment.

One advantage of DDR3 is less battery power needed... cheaper electric bill?
The CPU will not be bottlenecked by DDR2 though... nope. -
In real life, you won't notice a difference in power consumption using DDR3 over DDR2.
is the ddr2 (800 MHz) the bottleneck for the T9600 (1066 MHz)
