Hi friends,
Im a die hard gamer and thought of buying a lpatop.i searched for the best one and found Dell XPS 1730 as the most outstanding one from dell.but the sad part was,im from india and in the online booking option they dont provide xps1730.the best one availabe is with juz 128mb 8600GT graphics card.So i went for Alienware and they dont provide any laptops in inida. So as one of the notebookreview member told me i refered the xoticpc.com.They are offering in india too.I found a sager laptop,NP 5793 whihc is one of the best available configuration.but i havent heard of sager laptops until i visited that site.since im spending this much money on laptop,i want it to work fine atleast 2 years without much repairs.xoticpc also provides custom made asus and msi laptops.is it better to go for any of them or for a desktop upgrade??

Awesome laptops Notebook Evangelist
depends what you need if you want portability while maintaining mid to high end desktop power and are willing to pay alot for it go for the sager 5793. However if you want the best performance for your dollar go for a desktop upgrade

I will sell you my Voodoo heavyweight laptop signed by Rahul Sood, for $1,000,000.
On a serious note, I would get a rebranded Clevo D901C. The quad core desktop processor will blow away the competition. The one major weakness of the XPS1730 is its mobile processor. The quad core q6700 is about 3x as powerful as the fastest dual core mobile chip.
The D901C through Xotic, Sager or RJTECH, will be cheaper and much faster than the xps 1730.
You may think the XPS 1730 is going to perform better cause of the physics card, but it really does nothing in gaming.
Go with the Clevo, and you will be happy.
Just remember when gaming, to force the fans to full speed so that you do not melt any of the components.

You are aware that instead of just using the online system to spec up your machine, you can alternatively just call Dell and spec up your machine whatever way you want? You might also be able to haggle and get some sort of discount especially if you're ordering a top model.
issue reagarding new lpatop
