I have a Lenovo Y510 laptop and Samsung 172x monitor and recently started experiencing weird problems.

It's only been week since I had a dual monitor configuration. at first it worked perfectly fine, but starting today the secondary monitor will turn itself off and even if i push the power switch, it will go off after a few seconds. after i unplugged the monitor and rebooted and plugged it back in, it started working for a bit, but it's doing the same thing again.

any ideas on what the cause can be?

    thanks.

Try re-installing or updating your video driver.
