    man its tiny :) so quick question when i get my HP dv2000t in about week 1/2 just backup drivers on the 40gb that came with it then pop it out pop in the hdd then load windows/drivers etc correct? there shouldnt be any partitions or anything on this new hdd totally blank ?


    also ordered 2 1gb sticks of OCZ 533mhz ram i just want to make sure when i get these all in i can test to make there there nothing bad/wrong with hdd or ram :D

    that's correct.

    it would be better to backup drivers etc on a DVD, usb key or some other kind of removable media.

    it's also a good idea to do a full format of the drive the first time (ie NOT to do quick format).

    I wonder what read/write speeds are like on that drive - please post some info when you have your system up and running.

    ya ill backup them up on dvds and do a full format when loading xp :D
