    Using a Dell laptop, everything fine until a few hours ago when typing became a headache. If I type certain keys the letter itself appears PLUS the letter below e.g. q - qa, w - ws OR a - qa, s - ws.

    Nothing was spilt on the keyboard.

    The keys involved are
    qwer--uiop (ty & gh are behaving normally)
    asdf--jkl;

    (bit of a pattern here?)

    all others work OK.

    I have rebooted numersous times, including in Safe Mode.
    I also went into Settings/ControlPanel/System/Hardware/Device Manager and removed the keyboard and rebooted.

    Going mad..any help appreciated

    One other thing...one suggestion I've come across mentioned ctrl+alt+macro key...is there such a key hidden on my laptop keyboard?
