I don't know if I should ask this in the 'what should I buy' section but I have various questions on different hardware so I thought it might get a bit technical and specific so I thought I'd ask here.

I am still as confused as my initial or very first 'what should I buy' post. I was hoping if I ask more questions about the hardware or features I'm still confused about, might help narrow my preferences and options down a bit.

I am wondering about screen resolutions and screen size. I think there's so many 1366 x 768 resolution screens out there. If it's a 15" laptop, is this okay? I know that res. used to be the standard for LCD TVs before 1080p TVs came down in price. But, I am wondering if that screen res. would be sufficient for me in a laptop. I think if the screen is 15" or less, it might be good enough?

I like larger screen resolutions just because they have always seemed good for me and I thought I can always increase the text/font size and change the DPI if I need to. But, it seems 16x9 resolutions (1600x900) screens are hard to find and options are limited. Also, these laptops seem to be considerably more in price. So, what to do and how to choose?

One other minor preference I have which will probably sound silly: I like chicklet keyboards. I like Mac keyboards and thus, I will probably like Sony, Acer and Asus keyboards. Can I find a laptop that includes all of my preferences (screen res., other hardware options) and the chiclet keyboard as well? lol! Of course, it has to fit my budget, too.

Lastly, I am wondering which manufactures are best for upgrade option of the processor. I might get a laptop in which I'm already satisfied with the processing power and that is probably the goal since I think a HD upgrade to SDD would be more effective but just curious. I thought maybe Asus might give the best options including the chiclet keyboard but it seems the majority have 1366 x 768 resolution. Therefore, I need to determine whether this res. is sufficient or not. Doe that res. have any limitations? Can I still do 3D 'stuff'with it? Or is the limitation more to do with gaming? Can I watch movies with it? Maybe not 1080p or Hi-Def. movies but movies look ok on that res? It would still have the black bars?

I guess that is it. One more intangible would be the nvidia v.s. ati question but I'll save that for another post. :-D

'Here's hoping for some feedback and insight on these topics. TIA for any info and help!
