I recently began having problems with the XPS from my signature. Faulty video. Ok. I bought a new motherboard from eBay (can't find one on the dell main site), just installed it and not even bios post.

Disasemble it and found not even the fans are spinning when turning it on. If I remove all memory modules it beeps. Already tried clearing the cmos, beeped 5 times the first time booting after that and then nothing again.

    Any clues?

Edit: put the old motherboard again and it post the bios... so, it must be something with the new motherboard... but don't know what

Edit 2: I'll declare this machine DEAD. It only gave me headaches since day 1. Will avoid DELL like a plague from now on, since every people I know here are having problems with their vostro, alienware, xps and so on. Just like HP. Garbage

Thanks for the answer, and sorry for the delay. Indeed, the new motherboard was broken. The seller send me a full refund. I'm still looking for what can I do about it, I even talk to some dell representatives here, they emailed dell about the problem about 2 days ago and still no answer. I really hate the brand.
