Well I just started to play STALKER and my laptop just shut off.

It's done it before, but now it isn't turning on...

I know it was from heat, but it still won't turn on.
    What should I do?

unplug it from the mains, then remove the battery, then hold the power button down form 20 seconds, the re-assemble and see what happens.

Yup reset the battery memory first. Make sure your AC adapter is functional.

i used to monitor my temps, and it's obvious when it heats....
This time it came out of nowhere.

    A little over a year.
Not much dust, but I don't have a can of air.

    And it won't turn on...

Whats worse, I ordered a laptop the other day, but it won't ship till the 2nd....

If you knew it did it before yet you let it stay that way? You probably have power problems and you probably have underlying motherboard issues now.

Good to hear. I would invest in some canned air or an air compressor (bought for a cheap one at your local hardware store for about 80 bucks) and clean out the heatsinks/fans.

You have to be careful with compressors as the air tank can be full of water especially on an old one, they normally have a tap to drain the water off.

Also when using an air compressor, make sure you hold down the fan as you will ruin the fan bearings and if spun at high enough RPM fans generate electricity and will fry your motherboard.
