    laptop keeps on going on and off

    I have a laptop that keeps on going on and off.What could be the problem?

    That is too little of information, we cannot judge anything this way. What notebook do you own, what are the specs, can you explain when the problem occurs...

    Are you saying ur laptop randomly shuts down in the middle of work...and then randomly turns on when it's sitting off on ur desk?

    I assume it's just restarting over and over again, giving him the impression it turns on and off randomly. But during the process of restarting, the computer shuts down by itself, and turns on by itself.

    Give us more info.

    Am sorry i didnt provide much info in the 1st place.
    the laptop starts just ok and then it gets heated upunderneath the processor just after about 20 minutes and goes off.it doesnt come on by itself.

    it could be a heat problem.... overheat laptop maybe...

    Buy a cooler, or place a typhoon beside your laptop. er...i mean fan, since it seems to be too hot, so it randomly shuts down. If you want, work in an aircon room.

    but very hot in just 20 mins............ something is really wrong in your lappy....... check the fan if it is still working or too dusty......
