I'm just wondering, do people know WHAT brand/type of parts are in certain laptop manufactures?

What brand RAM they use.. Hard drive...?

    For laptops by Dell/Toshiba/Acer/HP?

Mabye people have opened or upgraded and have seen WHAT type of brand RAM and HD they had in it?

varies. prices fluctuate daily on lots of parts, and they usually buy the cheapest parts(doesn't mean cheapest quality) and/or they buy from several manufacturers to have steady supply.

pukemon is right, laptop makers don't use specific manufacturers for their parts.

If it helps, my Sager came with Transcend RAM, a Toshiba CDRW/DVD drive, and a Samsung hard drive. My previous Acer came with a Hitachi hard drive, don't remember the other components' manufacturers.

I was just wondering, because I bought a desktop 1 yr ago and my ram is faulty already... so I was hoping the RAM and HD in the laptops are good quality stuff.. not something that would go faulty or die out fast!
