possibly the inverter is bad then. i believe (could be wrong) that a bad or dying inverter will continually blow bulbs until it's replaced.

It seems as if you are getting a short somewhere. usually the inverters are not the problem. If you are using an inverter which is designed for a different screen/notebook, then remove it, that is causing your backlights to break. the inverter essentially kicks the voltage up to about 200volts inside the screen, and if it is not functioning properly, it will overload and thus destroy the backlights.

You should just call up toshiba, and get a new screen, if they sold it to you that way.

I would look on excel computers site for lcd parts.
They usually have most of the parts one is looking for

If the machine is 3-4 yrs old, you may be better parting it out, and selling the parts which work, and then buying a new laptop. A screen is going to be quite expensive.
You can get a new laptop these days for $500-700

you should be able to buy the backlight and inverter somewhere. Just make sure that they will work with your laptop. Using an inverter from an hp was a bad idea, you have to use parts which are designed to work with your laptop.

the inverter is the same inverter for both laptops the guy who sold it says so ( its not some shady selller ) and they look identical and the backlight is the little light inside of the actual screen you cant buy it i cant upload a picture of it but trust me it reuqires dissembling the LCD it self
