Okay so today while cleaning my screen near the top right of the screen i noticed something that looked like a small smudge or stain or peice of dirt/dust whatever you want to call it. It was really really tiny but it didnt come off with a damp cloth and if i ran my finger over it i could feel a bump on the screen, so when i turned on my laptop and left a dark image around that area, i could see up close some sort of tilting or tiding effect, like the screen was being slightly pinched in that area. this is really really really small though and its barely noticeable really, i think its about less than 1mm in size. but i was curious as to what this could be and if its fixable.

Most likely it's one of two things: 1) damage due to some sort of bump, impact, or pressure being put on that area. 2) Or a dead pixel. You could try pressure near and round the area as a fix. But if hat doesn't work, there are programs you can run that cycle the screen pixels shutting them on and off, which may also help. As a matter of fact, this months PC World magazine has an article on that very thing.

I would just ignore it, else you might make things worse.
It could be a particle trapped under the screen coating. You wouldn't be able to remove it without damaging the screen. -

Is this newly bought? maybe it was caused by accident. If it is within warranty maybe you could return it to the store.
I have a friend who bought his laptop, being meticulous he scanned every detail of his newly bought notebook and found 1 dead pixel. The manufacturer replaced it. -
okay i tried taking pictures but they sucked so i guess i cant really show it via a picture. -
I do that whenever I want to buy another laptop. Because as you know laptop get "old" easily. And before you know it... your notebook is already years behind.
laptop screen problem - small scratch?
