i posted a similar question several months ago and i thought i had all the info i needed but i was wrong.

i have a samsung rf511-s03 notebook and information is sparse on this model unfortunately. the screen is a 15.6" led back-lit 1366x768, i want to upgrade to 1080p but i dont think i have enough information. i know that

    1. my Video signal connector is 40pin (so i should be good since most 768p's are 20 pin)
    2. i may or may not need a dual channel lvds cable(since i have a 40pin connection already(may already have dual channel cable)).
    3. the max resolution i may have to settle for is 900p

i was told that the cables aren't proprietary but i may have to fiddle with dip switches? any other information or corrections will be appreciated
