Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
What are your uses? if we dont know what you are going to with the notebook, there isnt much of an answer. One might need 16gb of ram to do his work, and you will probably use nothing more than 4gb

For general use (i.e, productivity, schoolwork, and office work), I'd recommend a SSD as a very decent upgrade. A 120-128GB model should serve most needs well. It's probably the most noticeable upgrade to a laptop possible, short of GPUs for (specifically) gaming purposes (and the rare GPGPU use).

ok sorry about that ...
just general web browsing, streaming, downloading, some hd gaming and work related tasks spreadsheets etc... -

you might want to post this in the what notebook should I buy forum.
For gaming you need at least a gt 540m or a 6630m. Given your uses an i3 might do the trick -
thats great thank you for your help

4gb of ram is more than enough for you, you will never go over 3gb. Most of the time < 2gb
