Iv been learning about streaming on justin.tv and I wanted to know some opionions about people that use there laptops to stream. From what I hear you have to have a dedicated video card? Why is this and how is that supose to help stream something over justin.tv? Would the mobility firegl or quadro card work better for streaming then regular cards?

    1: what are you streaming
2: try to find an ATI 3000 or 4000 series ( you can occasionally find them cheap )
3: this is a laptop forum, try desktopreview.com

I cant find any mention of reccomended or required video card. can you point me to a link? since it all appears to be flash based pretty much any video card from the last 2 generations should suffice .. 3000, 4000, 5000 ATI
    8000, 9000, 200, 300 Nvidia

Any video card, or lack of video card will do. It's just streaming flash video. No different from YouTube.
