Would a low voltage processor like the SU7300 last longer? since it wouldn't heat up as much as a performance oriented processor like the Core i3?
Just a petty question from a computer noob.

the Su7300 will have better battery life than core i3 processors.. however , notebooks with switchable graphics or optimus with core i5 processors also get 5hrs+ battery life.. of course with a CULV processor battery life will eb more , the performance of processors like SU7300 is no better than for doing office work.. its ur choice.

it really depends on what you need the system for, like Sean said

With both in their respective 'reference' platforms, used within spec's the two should last just as long.
Granted the i3 is the 'hotter' one, but don't forget it was designed for that extra heat too.
