Hi there my video card burnt out and I was wondering if instead of replacing it I could use the ViDock 4 Plus, is it compatiable with my m17xr3

Oh no I can still get into windows, its just the graphics card has some major glitching going on. Just wondering if I bought the vi dock 4 plus and got say a GTX 770 it would work with a m17x r3.

I'm looking for a definitive answer from a techy as I would be investing a decent amount of cash into this.

Seems you definitely can't do it with your notebook as it has no expresscard slot.

    See:

But even if it did, wouldn't the ViDock would be a waste on a broken, 4 year old notebook vs. just fixing the gpu or simply selling it as-is and buying a current platform?

Doesn't seem like a good solution to me. shrug...
