Hi there my video card burnt out and I was wondering if instead of replacing it I could use the ViDock 4 Plus, is it compatiable with my m17xr3

I don't see how you could? You need to see the screen to install the ViDock.

Oh no I can still get into windows, its just the graphics card has some major glitching going on. Just wondering if I bought the vi dock 4 plus and got say a GTX 770 it would work with a m17x r3.

I'm looking for a definitive answer from a techy as I would be investing a decent amount of cash into this.

Seems you definitely can't do it with your notebook as it has no expresscard slot.

But even if it did, wouldn't the ViDock would be a waste on a broken, 4 year old notebook vs. just fixing the gpu or simply selling it as-is and buying a current platform?
Doesn't seem like a good solution to me. shrug... -
Your'e probably better off with a new laptop like tiller suggested....
